Rotary International betreibt ein großes Schüleraustauschprogramm, an dem nicht nur Jugendliche von Rotary-Mitgliedern teilhaben können, sondern Jugendliche aus allen Bevölkerungsschichten und aus allen Ländern, denn Rotary-Clubs gibt es in nahezu jedem Land unserer Mutter Erde.
Rotary International ist engaged in a great student exchange program, where not only the children of members of the Rotary Club are able to participate, even youths from all classes of population and from all countries, because there are Rotary Clubs nearly in each country of Mother Earth.
Innerhalb dieses Schüleraustausches waren diese Jugendlichen am vergangenen Wochenende zu einem Besuch nach Helgoland eingeladen. Für die 50 Schüler aus aller Welt, jeder "Erdteil" soll vertreten gewesen sein, wurde vom Naturschutzbeauftragten Helgolands, Rolf Blädel, eine Dünenführung veranstaltet, bei denen die Jugendlichen die Seehunde und Kegelrobben beobachten konnten und sie von Rolf gezeigt bekamen, wie man Versteinerungen am Strand findet. Wie ich gehört habe, hat jeder Austauschschüler etwas gefunden und nimmt so ein Andenken an den Helgoland-Besuch mit zu sich nach Hause. Zum Abschluss des Dünenrundgangs waren sie vom Rotary-Club Helgoland bei Lutz im Dünenrestaurant zum Essen eingeladen. Es gab Gulasch aus der Riesenpfanne.
During this student exchange program the students were invited to visit Helgoland last weekend. The 50 youths took a guided round around the Düne by the heligolandian commissary for nature conservation, Mr. Rolf Blädel. They not only saw the famous common seals and grey seals, Mr. Blädel taught them how to find fossils at the beach, and someone told, each of the students had found something and so takes a souvenir home. At the end of the circuit the students were invited for lunch by the Rotary Club Helgoland at Lutz's Dünenrestaurant. Goulash from the jumbo-pan was served.
